Jordan: "So you are going to meet someone that you don't know?"
Me: "I know her. Kind of. We met online. We read each other's blogs."
Jordan: stares at me silently. Then, "Won't that be awkward?"
Me:" Welp. I hope not."
This isn't usually me. I don't really like leaving my little bubble. But today I planned to meet Jen from http://www.heymrswilson.net/ at the Science Centre with our oldest girls.
And guess what? It was lovely. It wasn't awkward. I had a great time. We have a lot in common. We are both named Jen, we both have two daughters and get this ... her husband? His name is Noah. Which is the EXACT same I wanted to name my son should I have ever had one. AND he's going to university to be a journalist and I wanted to be a journalist before I became Wife and Mom. I mean, really, the similarities between us are so strong it would be nearly impossible for us not to be friends. ;)
But honestly, internet dating works. :) (I hope! I'll feel pretty lame if Jen is at home saying "Oh wow. That girl was such a loser. I never plan to see her again.)
Here are some pictures from our first date.

That Mrs. Wilson, she sure gets around ;).
We had fun meeting her too this weekend. My husband had the same response that yours did. I don't think they get it :).

Fun! I have met a handful of other bloggers in REAL life and it's been great most of the time.
I wish you'd date me, but the distance is so hard on our relationship!!! Haha!
Looks like fun!
